The finishing of wood bench is of different types depending on customer's specification. There are five common types of wood finishes. They are: Oil, Varnish and Polyurethane, Shellac, Lacquer, Water-based Finishes.
  
  
• There are some benches whose tubular frame is made of various metals like iron, steel, wrought iron, aluminum with the bench top of the same material. The metallic bench is painted or powder coated.
  
  
• The hospital bench top also varies in terms of upholstery top. These benches are padded cushion tops with coverings starting from cloth to synthetic fabric to leather or rexine etc.
