Semi Fowler bed is another common type of adjustable bed used in hospitals. It is similar to Fowler Bed with little difference.

Features of semi fowler bed

The basic difference between Fowler Bed and Semi Fowler Bed is that there are four section top in a fowler bed while a semi fowler bed has two sections.
It is a fixed height hospital bed.
In a semi fowler bed, the backrest is adjustable.
The backrest adjustment of the semi-fowler is assisted by crank handle from foot end.
These beds have head and leg bows of unequal height with vertical tubular supports mounted on hard rubber feet or wheels.
There is the provision of fixing IV drip rod at four locations including saline rod position in a hospital semi-fowler bed.
